When admitted to hospital, you may look forward to returning to your own home, to recuperate in the place where you feel most comfortable and relaxed. With increased care requirements, you may fear that you will not be able to go home, and instead will need to move into a nursing or residential home. Our hospital to home service can enable you to return home after a stay in hospital, we can help you to settle back in to your familiar surroundings.

Dementia/ Alzheimer’s home care service

Caring for those with dementia who wish to stay at home takes a bit more experience and training as the home environment can provide physical challenges a care home may not.

Many home care service users have dementia in mild and more advanced stages and we are able to help them maintain independence at home or support the families.

Companionship service

Our social companionship service is most suited to individuals who will benefit from having the reassurance that someone is there with them to offer support when it is needed. It also provides peace of mind for family members who are unable to regularly visit, as they know their loved one is being cared for.

Our Carers, who are carefully selected to match your personality and requirements, will provide company and conversation, as well as providing support with household and social activities. Your service is tailored to your requirements and can be adapted to meet your changing needs. We will also arrange for you to meet your Carer before your care package commences to ensure that you are happy. our team can offer or arrange appointments, companionship and conversation, Help with travel arrangements, stimulate mental awareness, escort to appointments, assist with clothing selection, help with reading, participate in hobbies and crafts, assist with entertaining, attend club meetings and sporting events, monitor diet and eating, buy magazines, papers and books, plan visits, outings and trips, visit neighbours and friends, rent and play films, accompany to lunch or dinner.

 

Palliative Care

Our skilled team are highly trained in this area. At a time when everything seems almost impossible to deal with, we can really help. Palliative care takes a certain skill set and needs carers who are comfortable in helping everyone involved in the weeks and months ahead.

This is a time when understanding about dignity and privacy is most important, it’s also a time when it can really help to bring a fresh face and sense of normality whenever possible.

Emotions run high at a time when most people face new challenges, we can help you understand the issues and support your loved ones.

Our team are trained to understand the special needs of many terminal conditions and how best to keep people comfortable and spirits high. This also applies to the family.

Domestic Services

Our domestic team can assist with Cleaning & Housework, laundry & ironing. Management of fuel & heating, make beds and change bed linen. Assistance with Planning & Shopping- alongside our customer or alternatively we can come in, create a shopping list, go to the shops, return and put away groceries.
